Where do the leading dietary supplement companies go to discover the best ingredients available? Many attend (and also exhibit at) Expo West in Anaheim, California. This video is a behind-the-scenes look at the event, co-hosted by functional medicine expert Bryce Wylde, BSc, DHMHS and NutriScience Innovations Sales Manager Braxton Wright, M.S., Nutrition.
Sunfiber once again meets Wylde’s Best-in-Show criteria
As in past years, Sunfiber was among the limited number of ingredients named to Wylde’s Best in Show list. He selected products and ingredients based on stringent criteria: sustainability, science, traceability, transparency, efficacy, purity and potency.
Fiber for kids. Brands are choosing Sunfiber for its superior benefits
Wright and Wylde discuss why consumers look at the label when choosing a dietary fiber supplement. “You want to make sure it’s not causing the very symptoms you’re looking to avoid: the gas, the bloating and distention,” Wylde comments.
They stop at the Healthy Heights booth, as Wright explains that this children’s nutritional food company swapped out inulin and other fibers in favor of Sunfiber.
Healthy Heights in-house nutritionist and branding specialist McKenzie Hall confirms the brand switched to Sunfiber to eliminate the stomach discomfort associated with some other fibers. “We work with small children and sensitive tummies. Sunfiber is a perfect ingredient for us.”
What you should know about Sunfiber for children
Sunfiber can safely be consumed by children ages nine months and older. Parents can also be reassured that Sunfiber carries many important certifications including Non-GMO Project Verification, Informed Ingredient, Glyphosate Residue Free, Kosher and Halal. Sunfiber is also 100% gluten free.
Sunfiber can easily be added to juice, milk, yogurt or any other non-carbonated beverage or food. It’s tasteless, odorless and dissolves in water. You can even cook with it, bake with it or add it to your child’s morning smoothie.
In addition to the traditional health benefits of dietary fiber, Sunfiber has been shown to benefit children with gastrointestinal symptoms or IBS. As referenced in this video, studies have also shown that Sunfiber may help improve regularity and irritability in children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
